Our client, a prestigious management company, are looking for a candidate to take on the role of QSHE Safety Manager, one of the senior leaders of the technical team looking after a luxury ‘7 Star’ Private Estate.
You will be responsible for developing, and maintaining the Company’s Quality, Health, Safety and Environment (QHSE) Management System, and oversea the implementation of the best practices for the site.
The Estate values quality within this process and you will play a leading role within the Technical Department.
This role is a permanent position and would suit someone looking to spend at least 3 years in a Middle Eastern country, working on one of the most impressive private estates in the world. The position requires hard work, but provides you with a tax-free income, little expenses (food and accommodation are included), and a generous annual leave with a flight allowance.

Duties:
• Provide guidance and protect the client’s best interests in terms of equipment and material selection.
• Attending and holding client and contractor progress meetings, producing clear and concise minutes, and following up on all agreed tasks.
• Analysis of the safety-related and quality elements of the scope of work and specification for new construction or restoration projects is an essential element of the QHSE Manager’s role.
• The QHSE Manager will take an active role in supporting the Chief Technical Officer with reviewing contractor quotes and making recommendations for alternatives, with respect to the safety, quality, and environmental policies in place, if deemed necessary.
• Working in tandem with the General Manager and estate staff to ensure the contractor never has instance to claim permissible delays due to restricted access or lack of estate preparedness, with respect to health and safety issues.
• Conducting quality audits and generating ‘snag’ lists for presentation to the contractor and specialist artisans. Monitoring the re-work and making good of ‘snag list’ items.
• Competence in the creation of written documents and methodologies for the care and maintenance of installations and materials, with a particular focus on health and safety, quality, and environmental protection. Proven ability in providing practical training to personnel to outline safe operating procedures.
Your Experience
• A university education in a relevant QHSE-related discipline, or a vocational qualification combined with proven track record in project management and report writing skills.
• Proven practical project-based experience of working with new construction or refurbishment/restoration and a clear understanding of relevant Internationally recognised safety and environmental legislation and regulations relating to domestic building construction, management and operation.
• A practical broad-based safety background, combined with competence with project management and supervision of teams of up to 10 personnel.
• Competence in general management and modern office procedures including word-processing, spreadsheet work and basic accounting.
• A positive attitude combined with the ability to mix easily, communicate fluently, and relate well to work colleagues, estate staff, and with owners and client representatives.
• The ability to manage and motivate staff or work alongside as part of a project team.
• Commercial awareness and an eye for detail in all aspects of work.
• High standards of presentation and accuracy in written word. Clear and concise report writing
• Valid International driving licence.
