Field Service CompEx Electrician vacancy in Home based, Midlands (342jc)

My client who is a world leader in the fuel management sector is seeking a Field Service CompEx Electrician to provide maintenance, breakdown, and repair at various sites in and around the UK, from Newcastle right down to the South East of UK and further afield.

As Field Service CompEx Electrician will need an NVQ 3 - Installing Electrotechnical Systems and Equipment or equivalent, CompEx 01-04 and 07-08. Field Service CompEx Electricians will need to travel around the UK, covering mainly from Newcastle to the South East, and therefore you will need a UK Driving Licence.

Your responsibilities will include:
• Electrical maintenance and testing, commissioning, improvement projects, electrical installation, electrical isolation with an extensive health and safety emphasis
• Conduct inspections on hazardous buildings and BFI’s to JSP 375 standards & BS 7671 Standards.
• Conduct Maintenance and Repairs to ATEX certified electrical equipment as required.
• Perform “permit to work” and site-specific risk assessments

To be eligible for this role you will need the following
Essential:
• City and Guilds 236 Electrical Installation Part 3 (C Course) (NVQ Level3)
• City and Guilds 236 Electrical Installation Parts 1 & 2
• City and Guilds 238 I.E.E. Wiring Regulations
• Excellent knowledge of Electrical and Mechanical Engineering disciplines
• UK Driving Licence

Desirable:
• CompEx 01-04 - Electrical Apparatus for use in potentially explosive atmospheres
• CompEx 07-08 – Fuel Forecourts
• CompEx 05 06 – Dust in hazardous environments
• CompEx 11 Mechanical in Hazardous Areas
• OFTEC 600A – Tank installation and Maintenance

The ideal candidate would be someone who has a good understanding of electrical installation work in potentially hazardous and/or explosive atmospheres.
