Green Energy Site Manager (244jc) – Home based - £45 -50k + Benefits

My client who are a rapidly expanding and innovative renewable energy company are now seeking to recruit additional Site Manager to join their rapidly expanding team.

You will be reporting to Head of Construction, and you will be working on Solar projects throughout the UK. It will involve working as part of a team to achieve delivery of projects on time whilst adhering to all safety regulations, CDM requirements, quality standards and project specifications.

In this role you should have a high regard for safety, a clean driving licence and flexible approach to working hours, travel, and work location as their projects cover the whole of the UK.

You will be fully responsible for one of the locations, and each build can vary from 12 weeks to up to a year depending on the size of the solar farm, and you will manage the day to day operation of the site from a green field all the way through to final completion and hand over to the client, looking after a team of up to 50 sub-contractors, dealing with suppliers, and liaison with the client/site owner making sure that the build is running accordingly to the framework and highlighting any issues that may come down the road. You will also be responsible for making sure that everyone is working in accordance to HSE regulations at all times.

To be eligible for this role, you will need the following:
Essential
• Previous proven experience as a site manager/agent
• Sound knowledge of H&S and risk assessment legislation and practices
• CSCS card
• Valid certification SMSTS and First Aid qualification
• Risk assessment training
• General construction
• Full clean UK driving licence
• IOSH Managing Health & Safety

Desirable
• Industry knowledge
• Computer Skills - [Intermediate/Advanced] MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Scheduling and programming on project delivery
• Project delivery budgets i.e., commercial
• Decision Making, Project Management, Problem Solving.

The ideal candidate would probably be someone who has some management experience and probably from either a construction or engineering background who is happy to work away from home Mon to Fri as their sites span across the whole of the UK.

The company has offices based in Exeter and London, but this role is home based as you can be based anywhere in the UK.

In return they are offering a good starting salary circa £45-50k, will all your accommodation paid for by the company and a daily £25 subsistence allowance, company vehicle or mileage allowance, 25 days rising to 30 days after 5 years, company pension, cycle to work scheme, subsidised private health scheme.
