Operations Executive vacancy in London ()

A newly formed company who is engaged in the provision of medical and political evacuations around the world. At the centre of the business will be a state of the art, IT led, 24/7 operations room located in the City of London. The operations centre is responsible for the planning, co-ordination and execution of all evacuations. This centre will is run by former members of the British Armed Forces and will serve predominantly the UK insurance market. Evacuations can be needed for a wide variety of reasons from a holiday-maker involved in a road traffic accident, to a climber stranded on Mount Everest or to a security consultant wounded in Afghanistan. Other clients will include, Non-Governmental Organisations, private military companies, energy and mining companies and international commercial and contract companies. By coordinating all aspects of the evacuation, including linguists, medical teams and transport, the client's Operations Centre will have a plan and the ability to repatriate the individual(s) in need.

The company also supports, through partnering agreements, organisations which can benefit from such a high-calibre IT system and communications structure and and who also rely on the availability of a medivac capability. Organisations involved will predominantly be security related companies. The operations will be as varied as a pirate attack in the Gulf of Aden through to a security incident at a UK sporting event.

The role of the Operations Executive is twofold. Firstly you will manage an individual evacuation procedure. You will be required to identify local service providers who in-turn will lead on various aspects of the evacuation procedure in the fastest, safest and most flexible way possible. These local services will include, linguists, medics, hospital trusts, embassies, medical helicopter and fixed-wing providers and security companies to name a few. Simply put, your role is to get an individual or group of individuals out of whatever difficult situation they may be in and get them home as safely and quickly as possible. The firm is currently increasing its offshore client base and is therfore most keen to recruit a Warrant Officer/CPO with Naval/Royal Marines service. Your second duty will be to liaise with the partner companies benefiting from the firm's IT and communications capability. The firm wishes, initially, to carefully select up to 50 security related companies to benefit from the operations room in this way. On both roles you will be reporting directly to the Operations Manager.
