Program Security Manager Kabul $550 per day

My client an expanding and dynamic security company is now expanding their remit in Afghanistan and is now looking for a Program Security Manager to join their expanding operations in theater

You will be reporting directly to the Afghanistan Director of Support Services and therefore you will be responsible for the following:-
• Determining security and risk management standards across all their client’s in country operations
• Overseeing all security related activities to include the identification and assessment of threats and risks,
• managing budgets and program contracts as well as the coordination of security training.
• The appointment demands an individual with a proven track record in Security Risk Management and demonstrable skills and experience within the military/law enforcement and commercial security sector.
• The Program Security Manager must be capable of addressing operational and strategic issues at both Board and senior customer level.
• As part of a team, the position calls for innovative and decisive decision-making within a fast-moving and demanding operating environment.
• The Program Security Manager must be articulate and be a highly effective communicator who will underpin the delivery and coordination of operations.

Therefore your main functions and task will be:-
• Accelerating, decelerating, redefining, terminating and initiating projects within programmes;
• Managing interdependencies between projects and business as usual;
• Managing resources to the programme and resource conflicts;
• Develop policy, procedures and processes as dictated by the client’s Corporate security;
• Responsible for providing oversight of all security operations;
• Provide oversight of outsourced security service providers and the contracting process;
• Responsible for evaluating project deliverables;
• Provide support and advice on the procurement and engagement of staff and security capabilities, including technical capabilities to address gaps and vulnerabilities;
• Ensure contractual compliance to assist the client in remaining compliant with their primary client (US Government);
• Provision of external liaison and coordination with The Government of Afghanistan, Government Ministries, Internal security agencies, as well as other entities, including ISAF, US military, US Embassy security staff and other local security management through OSAC and similar bodies;
• Effective management and monitoring of the delivery of security services by local sub-contractors and service providers;
• Support in resolving contractual compliance issues that relate to security across the Program;
• Support to defining, managing and execution of a Program security budget;

To be eligible for this role you will need the following skills and experience:-
• An experienced and senior security consultant with extensive knowledge of commercial risk management at the programme level;
• Knowledge of defining, managing and execution of a security programme;
• Experience in security operations conducted in hostile environment;
• A high standard of written and computer skills (MS Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook) with the ability to communicate clearly and concisely both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to develop and implement policies, write directives & reports and produce risk assessments;
• Ability to effectively and professional understand and manage potentially dangerous conditions and sensitive issues;
• Reliable, resourceful and able to use initiative;
• Decisive and determined with the ability to remain flexible and sensibly determine priorities when working under pressure;
• Knowledge of security and operations and procedures;
• Ability to manage people and their administration;
• A willingness to deploy to meet short term contingencies;
• Be prepared to work unsociable hours and weekends when required to do so;

In return they are offering $550 per day on a 8/4 rotation, however there is no pay while on leave, will all food, accommodation, travel and other expenses paid by the client. You will also be housed in their secure compound in Kabul.
