My client who has over 25 years experience in the design, development, manufacture and supply of technical surveillance countermeasures (TSCM) equipment, providing technical support and specialist training, they provide de-bugging solutions for all levels of user.

Commonly referred to as sweeping or debugging, technical surveillance countermeasures (TSCM) are predominantly used by governments, large commercial organisations and high profile individuals to protect against the threat of electronic eavesdropping devices.

My client is located within a secure, self contained facility in Weldon on the outskirts of Corby. With a worldwide distributor network, they export more than 70% of their products to over 90 countries around the globe.

They are currently undergoing an expansion of the Engineering design team to meet increased business demand.

Purpose / Role
• Reporting to the Technical Director, the main purpose of this role is to assist the Senior RF Design Engineer in the design and development of RF and analogue / digital hardware circuitry.
• This will include all aspects of design from theoretical through prototyping to production.

Key Responsibilities
• Provide RF / Hardware support for future and current products.
• Under guidance from the Senior RF Design Engineer / Project Leader, take full responsibility and accountability for RF / Hardware design activities within a project.
• Keeping adequate design records in the form of a log book.

Experience
• Ideally, 2 / 3 years hardware design experience, specifically radio system design; including transmitters and receivers up to 3GHz.
• Experience of using RFCAD to design and evaluate circuits, specifically Ansoft Designer.

Skills & Knowledge
• A good working knowledge of design for radio type approval and the requirements of the EMC directive.
• Knowledge of low power, efficient RF circuit design; including oscillators, synthesisers and power amplifiers.
• A thorough knowledge of general analogue and digital electronics design.
• The ability to liaise with other engineers and other departments, with the ability to set and work to realistic time scales.

Because of the nature of the work undertaken at my clients' site, this post is required to meet special nationality rules and therefore are only open to British Citizens. All selected candidates will be required to undergo security clearance.
The MoD rules state that in order to have access to this level of information, candidates "must be British as defined in the British Nationality Act 1981"
