My client an international service company is urgently seeking a mobilization manager for a 6 month contract in Kandahar in side the wire.

You will be reporting to the Project Manager, the Mobilization Manager shall be responsible for the complete mobilization of the Supplemental Agreements (SA(s)) or contract(s) based on the mobilization plan submitted as part of the Technical Proposal.

Specific Responsibilities

• Review the applicable draft mobilization plan and milestones. Update as necessary in order to prepare the final mobilization plan which will be used for mobilization execution.
• Prepare an implementation schedule.
• Monitor and report progress of mobilization against established tasks and milestones.
• Prepare reports on the progress of mobilization as directed for submission NAMSA, AFE HQ, PM.
• Coordinate with Corporate, AFE HQ and AFE KAF departments as necessary to ensure completion of the mobilization tasks in accordance with the applicable milestones and report any deviations to the PM.
• Prepare mobilization budget based on specific Priced Bill of Services.
• In conjunction with the applicable SME, prepare necessary plans, order and instructions as directed in the Technical Proposal.
• Capture all costs associated with mobilization activities in accordance with the assigned financial coding.
• Ensure inventory or assets assigned to the new contract/SA are properly identified and entered into TMA as an asset, controlled inventory or inventory
• Ensure invoices received in support of mobilization activities are matched to the applicable PO
• Prepare initial spares provisioning requirement and critical spares list in conjunction with KAF SME
• Monitor and report on procurement activity in support of mobilization
• Provide supervision, direction and guidance to assigned mobilization personnel
• Brief on mobilization progress at AFE KAF Management Meetings
• Post mobilization, produce a report to include the final mobilization plan, personnel, resources, inventory/assets received, and related financials as applicable

The ideal candidate for this role would be ideally an ex QM (preferably LE). The job entails mobilizing Utilities based projects but expertise in such is not a pre-requisite; you will need a combination Logistics/operations/excellent organizer type person who operates well under stress and can juggle a number of balls at the same time. The candidate must be able to converse well at all levels and produce accurate written work. A good knowledge of MS based programs is also essential.

In return they are offering and excellent salary for the 6 month contract, and all food accommodation, laundry, role 1 medical support and flights are covered by the client. NATO security clearance would be preferable, but not essential, if you have no clearance and up to date CRB will be needed to obtain KAF security pass
