Cyber Security Analyst (016ne) vacancy in Berkshire ()

Our client is seeking an experienced Cyber Security Analyst for the monitoring of cyber security systems; data collation, interpretation and delivery of actionable reports.
Also to provide insight for management into network security issues and to demonstrate compliance with the Company policy, highlighting areas of increased risk

Key accountabilities
• Managing output from network security management system
• Monitoring activity on corporate networks for compliance against Company policy
• Monitor and first line respond to user submitted enquiries
• Identification of external intrusion into corporate networks
• Damage limitation initiation in the event of unauthorised activity identified
• Support the development of the Security Intelligence picture
• Formal reporting of analysis, actions and conclusions
• Support to the Risk and Investigations teams within Cyber Security

Responsibilities
• Monitor and analyse data produced in security management applications
• Initiate response to positive triggers in accordance with formal procedures
• Produce reports based on output from network security management systems
• Build behavioural models and trends of network activity

Qualifications
• HND/C in relevant subject or equivalent experience
• Qualification or certification in information security related discipline
• CISSP/CISA/MSc would be an advantage

Knowledge
• IT & Information Security principles
• Security requirements when operating within MoD environments
• Conversant with HMG Infosec Standards
• Broad knowledge of general security approaches to Physical Security, Personnel Security, Security Audit, Security Investigation and Incident Response

Experience
• Experience in a proactive information technology security role in a large commercial company, Government or military environment with exposure to security monitoring, auditing and investigation

• Technical proficiency with a range of IT systems
• Demonstrable cyber security analysis capability
• Good presentation skills and the ability to operate under pressure
