My client who is a National Training Provider to the MoD and commercial organisations is currently seeking a Training and Assessment Consultant to join their team.

You will be reporting to the Training Contracts Manager and will preferably live within 30 minutes of Aldershot, but you will be travelling across the UK, and you will have ideally a background in commercial security and training with the V1 qualification, and have had experience in leading a team of assessors and verifying their work. Therefore the main purpose of the role will include:-
• Undertake the worldwide delivery of my clients Apprenticeship and Security programmes of training and or assessment.
• The post is based from Andover but mobile and will require regular travel to a variety of sites within the UK, Germany and further afield.
• When not deployed you will be required to work at the Business Support Centre in Andover for administrative purposes, competency training and in support of wider company business interests.
• Assess learner portfolios and prepare these portfolios for internal verification/moderation and archiving.
• Plan implement and fully document inductions, initial assessments and mid/end of programme reviews with learners.
• Conform to all pre and post delivery administrative preparations/requirements of nominated programmes as directed by the TCM and person responsible for the activity.
• Responsible to the AIS Deputy Manager through the Programme & Quality Coordinators for an appropriate level of direct liaison with Candidates/Learners, Programme Support Administrators, Military Staff and other clients to ensure timely progression, overall success and high quality training at the point of delivery.
• When required to do so, deputise for other members of the AIS team.

Key Accountabilities:
• Ensure timely and regular liaison with customers and other members of the team.
• Adhere to strict timelines for registration, internal verification, assessment and certification.
• Contribute to constructive programme feedback.
• Participate fully in Internal and External audit and Verifier visits as required by the Training Contracts Manager.
• Plan for and ensure: efficient, cost effective, time and resource management.
• Comply with all instructions relating to the security and maintenance of (personal issue) company equipment
• Provide assistance to other areas of the wider business as required by the Head of operations, TCM and AIS Programme and Quality Coordinator
Be prepared to undertake other duties appropriate to the post as agreed by the Training Contract Manager and the Head of Training Operations Division.

Person Specification
Qualifications and Job Requirement
Essential
• Practical military experience, and an understanding of (Infantry based) security operations at platoon and company level
• Driving Licence

Desirable
• Nationally recognised teaching qualification at Level 3 or 4
• Appropriate assessor award
• Level 3 Deliverers of Conflict Management Training
• Level 2 equivalent in English

Relevant Experience
Essential
• Delivery of training/instruction and qualifications to groups of adult learners
• Development, production and use of training media
• Demonstrate experience as a military instructor, supervisor/junior manager and administrator/facilitator

Desirable
• Be able to demonstrate recent application of D32/A1/V1.

To have a chance of being shortlisted, your CV must show:-
• You were deployed during your military service which must included practical military security operations
• You must have practical experience of and are able to demonstrate a good understanding of Infantry based internal security operations at platoon and company level
• You must of taught as a military instructor at a military training establishment
• Which Service, units, rank, location and role and dates of appointments in the service
• You will also need to live within 30 minutes travel of Aldershot, as you will have to travel to Windsor and Pirbright to deliver training.
