Do you have great people skills, and have you worked as a Mess Steward or a similar role within the Armed Forces? Or have you worked in front-of-house roles in the high end of the hospitality sector? If so, then this could be a very exciting opportunity for you!

As Steward at this Livery company based in the City of London, your duties will be varied including involvement with lunches, dinners and other events. Some of the dinners will require late working (overtime paid) and accommodation will be provided on these occasions. Main duties will include co-ordinating front-of-house activity at events, taking care of the Company’s collection of plate and silver, transporting and accounting for wines from the wine cellar for consumption at events and working with the maintenance team on the set up of events at the Hall. There are other ad hoc duties, so a flexible, can do attitude is essential.

You should be well presented, enjoy a traditional environment, be calm under pressure with the ability to think on your feet! If you enjoy working as part of a team, and like a varied interesting role this could be just what you are looking for. Your confident personality and reliable disciplined work ethic is essential.
