Team Support Chauffeur (162jc) vacancy in Central London ()

My client an international financial services group with significant operations across the globe is now seeking an additional Team Support Chauffeur.

You will be reporting to the Chauffeur Manager and you will be acting as an additional Chauffeur in the team.

Therefore your main duties will be to act as cover Chauffeur to the rest of the team when they are unable to drive their principle and therefore they are looking for someone who can liaise effectively with a number of different Principals, their Personal Assistants, as well as their usual Chauffer’s, trying to offer the same level of service but with just a different face, so to speak.

Therefore you will be working along side of the Team Manager, and you duties and schedule will be highly varied and changeable on a week to week basis.

Therefore the main background and purpose will be as follows:-
• To provide an internal support function to the dedicated chauffeur team, through the delivery of secure chauffeur services to all the Senior Directors,
• Executive Board Members, external VIP customers, Non Executive Directors and clients, as directed by the Chauffeur Demand Coordinator

Therefore your Core Competences will include:

Essential
• Full (clean) UK driving license for at least five years.
• Experienced driver with extensive practical experience in the commercial sector.
• Advanced driving skills. (RoSPA/Police advance qualification preferred).
• Previous experience of being a chauffeur to a senior board member, or similar, is essential
• Good knowledge of routes in London, Suburbs, Airports and the rest of the UK.
• The nature of the duties undertaken require a commitment to working overtime, weekends, sometimes at very short notice which will include unsociable hours.
• Live within a reasonable distance of the City of London, i.e. within the M25.

Desirable
• The post holder will need strong interpersonal and communications skills. He or she will also need to be able to effectively interact orally at all levels in the organisation.
• The post holder will also be able to demonstrate confidence, skill, and experience as a security trained driver (must at least have an understanding of security related driving techniques).
• Consistently demonstrates a positive response to the changing needs of the client, the environment and external pressures.
• A basic knowledge of Micro Soft packages Excel, Word etc. And email (Microsoft Outlook).
• Current S.I.A is a plus but is not essential.
• Current F.A.A.W certificate
• Previous experience of support chauffeur to a team

The ideal individual for this role would probably be a Staff Car Driver who has sound knowledge of London and who has experience of driving a number of different principles on a regular basis, which can get on side with the other drivers, Principals and their PA’s to give a seamless service.

This is also an ideal role to progress within this company, as the last driver in this role was promoted to a single principal when the team were allocated an additional principle to look after.

Please note that this is NOT a security role, but a chauffeur/Driver role.
