House Keeper / Caretaker Couple - Banbury Oxfordshire
£200 per week + 4 Bed Cottage Rent Free

My Client, a large Estate owner, is currently looking for a Responsible Housekeeper to take on a part time Housekeeping Role within their grounds. The estate is approximately 1 mile from Burford, Oxfordshire and includes a 5/6 Bedroom property with gardens and stables. Please note, that for a variety of reasons, we cannot accept applications from persons / couples with children under the age of 16 due to unfenced water areas in the grounds. The applicant must also hold a drivers license. Ideally the successful applicant will be the female member of a couple who will take on the main house keeping role, with extra work available as overtime on an ad hoc basis for the partner.

Summary of Duties & Responsibilities
For 20 hours a week the successful applicant will have various roles including House Cleaning, Laundry, Bed Changing, Ironing and Straight Forward Family Cooking. There will also be approximately 1 hour each day of work within the grounds, which includes Feeding & Turning out 2 Donkeys when they are stabled during the Winter Months as well as Mucking out their Stable and clearing dropping from their field. The Caretaker will also be expected to keep an eye on 2 rescue horses who are situated in the grounds all year round as well as walking 3 Jack Russell Terriers within the grounds when required.
During the summer months there will be some gardening required, which will be paid as overtime if it falls without the 20 hours per week terms of employment.
During some evening and weekends there will be some general help required within the home for special events which will also be paid as overtime. This does not occur on a regular basis.
For two nights each week, some weekends, some Bank Holidays and some Holiday periods, the Caretaker will be required to take over all caretaking duties for the property and Animals contained therein which is not covered by overtime pay, but by the 3 / 4 bedroom cottage being provided free of Rent, Council Tax and Water Rates for the successful candidates.

Skills & Experience
Our Client is looking for a very Responsible Individual / Couple who thrive on a varied Role, who enjoy working outdoors as well as indoors, who have a passion for animals and who are flexible enough to take on this exciting challenge.
Previous experience of Caretaking, Housekeeping & Animal care would be desirable but not essential; however the animals are an extremely high priority so experience within this field would be welcome.

The package
A 3 / 4 Bedroom property within the grounds will be provided Rent free, with Council Tax and Water Rates paid and logs for the log burning stove provided. As well as this, there will be a £10 per hour (£200 per week) salary plus the opportunity for overtime as specified above. The employment contract is for the Housekeeper only however ad hoc work (paid as overtime) will be available now and then for the partner of the main employee.
