You will be reporting to the Business Manager, who is based in Aberdeen on a day to day basis and you will be responsible for the teams’ operational and financial performance, ensuring both service delivery and team targets are met in accordance with customer and company requirements.
Roles & Responsibilities
• Demonstrate strong safety leadership and ensure safe place of work and safe working practices at all times.
• Ensure safety meetings and toolbox talks are held as required ensuring all personnel are fully aware of any risks associated with the task prior to commencement of the work.
• Conduct regular site safety tours, intervening as necessary to stop unsafe acts and encouraging and promoting the use of intervention techniques through employee engagement and by example. Lead incident investigations ensuring timely close out of reports and actions.
• Promotes a strong safety culture by engaging with the workforce during regular site tours and using the “just culture†model to demonstrate fairness when holding employees accountable for their actions.
• Regularly reviews best practice and benchmarks performance against competitors to ensure we offer customers the most modern, cost effective and innovative solutions in the market.
• Ensures full compliance with all company policies, procedures and work instructions in relation to each job function.
• Records and reports key performance indicators for the team on a monthly scorecard and monitors results to implement necessary change where needed to increase safety, operational and financial performance.
• Effectively manages the maintenance of a legislation register applicable to the site and ensures legal compliance and the meeting of minimum standards and approved codes of practice.
• Compliance with corporate competency assurance and assessment process as required.
• Participates in regular operations meetings with customers and colleagues as required to deliver cohesive, safe and effective operations across multi disciplined teams.
• Able to create, manage and report against the annual financial budget for Edzell operations

Requirements Base Manager
• Educated to degree level standard or 5 years relevant equivalent experience
• Recognised safety qualification
• Experience in logistics operations
• Budgetary management experience

• Able to forecast, monitor and control operating costs to keep within budget limits.
• Able to effectively communicate with people at all levels within the organisation.

• Able to prepare and present business proposals
This role would suit either SNCO/WO/LE officer or Officer who has a lot of logistics experience behind them, ideally within an Oil and Gas or Maintenance backgrounds, so Pet Ops background could be very useful, who is able to lead a large team of personnel and help drive this section forwards
