My client, who is a major telecoms provider, is now seeking a Bid Manager (Training/Technical Institute (TI)) for their operations in Saudi Arabia, you will be reporting to the Head of Concept Development.

PRIMARY OBJECTIVES & FUNCTIONS:
• Fully accountable for effective and timely delivery of acceptable training based proposals to UK MOD and MofNG that contribute towards the Company’s annual Order Book.
• Ensuring proposals support the Company’s annual sales target.
• Ensuring appropriate internal and commercial processes are adhered to at all times.

SUMMARY OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Concept Development team is the primary interface to the Saudi Arabian Ministry of the National Guard (MofNG) and the UK Ministry of Defence (MOD) customers.
And is responsible for all new business activities and is responsible for creating through-life, value for money solution proposals at minimal risk to the Company.

The Bid Manager has the following responsibilities:
1. Ensure efficient use of Company resources to deliver:
• Timely and effective responses to Requests for Information (RFI) and Requests for Proposal (RFP) are delivered that meet Customer requirements and company targets.
• Proposals that adhere to Company and Customer governance procedures.
• Proposals that is deliverable by the Implementation team and supportable by the Company Operations, Maintenance and Training team.
• Deliver a continuous and high level of Customer satisfaction.
2. Fully accountable for appropriate contribution to Order book with appropriate sales opportunities.
3. Creation of co-operative working relationships with UK MOD programme team and sub-contractors to ensure timely realization of opportunities.
4. To assist in identifying and evaluating new SANGCOM business opportunities, and in defining and implementing policy and future strategy.
5. Support the UK MOD Project and Requirement teams to ensure that effective proposals are delivered that meet User requirements and expectations.
6. Continuous, high level of quality internal and external management reporting.

CONTACT WITH OTHERS (Internal/External/Meetings):

The Bid Manager (Training / TI) is an important representational role for My client. The post-holder will be expected to manage effective business relationships with a wide stakeholder group including officers from the MofNG and the UK MOD, together with international suppliers and sub-contractors at senior management level.

JUDGEMENT/DECISION MAKING AUTHORITY (Specific Responsibilities):

Empowered to commit the company within appropriate delegated financial limits.

RECRUITMENT SPECIFICATION (Knowledge & Experience):

ESSENTIAL

• Bachelors Degree or equivalent in an appropriate discipline.
• Sound understanding of bid management and commercial practice.
• Proven track record of delivering successful bids.
• Possesses a sound knowledge and experience of managing budgets.
• Holds a recognised Project Management qualification (e.g. APMP).
• Customer relationship experience.
• Strong standard of written and spoken English.
• Business experience in the design, development and delivery of training projects.

DESIRABLE

• Working knowledge and understanding of Defence Systems Approach to Training Quality Standard (DSAT QS).
• Experience in the delivery of training infrastructure products and services.

As this role is based in Saudi Arabia, candidates must meet all of the minimum qualifications as they are not bound by UK or EU Laws, also individuals over the age of 50 will also not be considered for any of these roles.
