My Client is looking for an exceptional business manager to improve their market position and drive financial growth within this international, world-class manufacturing company. The role will require high levels of customer engagement to define long term organisational strategic goals, and also to build key customer relationships. Candidates must bring an outstanding network of major contacts to identify new business opportunities, and maintain our existing customers and extensive knowledge of current market conditions. Our products are at the forefront of technology in the global market and will support the Land business line - this role is varied and challenging, while based in St Asaph will also include international travel. Career development is a real possibility for candidates with the drive, ability and aptitude to succeed.

Key Responsibilities:
-Identifying, developing and winning new business opportunities.
-Defining the business winning strategy (teaming, price, commercial, technical etc.) and input for strategic business planning purposes.
-Liaising and negotiating with internal functions prior to preparing bids, quotations or comprehensive proposals for products or support services.
-Networking within the industry to generate further opportunities.
-Representing the customer and liaising with internal functions, in order to resolve any commercial or technical conflicts.
-Representing the Company at all levels within the customer community, ensuring the interests of the Company are both promoted and protected.
-Utilising a sound awareness and knowledge of the market to identify potential new customers and/or markets and continually developing awareness / knowledge of the market in which the Company operates and provides input into both the product strategy and Company strategic direction.
-Maintaining an up to date, accurate and complete data base of business opportunities which will be used to generate the Company business plans.
-Understanding and fully complying with the national and international export, import and ITAR rules and legislation. Adhering to all Company Operating Procedures.

Personal Specification:
It is essential that all candidates have the following:
-A high standard of general education, and conversant with Microsoft office applications - Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
-Sound commercial acumen, with a positive track record of achievement in your current and previous roles supported by a technical aptitude and an understanding of business and marketing. In particular, defence industry experience and/or demonstrated Sales & Marketing experience associated with hi-tech products and services.
-Enthusiasm, confidence and professionalism with excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage and negotiate in all elements of the role, along with seamless organisation and time/work management skills.
-An understanding of Company capabilities, with an appreciation of the equipment and services provided by the Land business line in particular.
-High motivation, responsiveness and focus, also possessing meticulous attention to detail crucial for ensuring customer requirements are fully understood and met.
-Flexibility to travel nationally and internationally, sometimes at short notice (full/valid driving licence & valid passport)
-Experience and business focus, demonstrated through exceptional influencing and relationship building expertise developed as a result of practised outstanding communication skills.

The following attributes are considered desirable, but not essential for the role:
-Experience of operating and communicating effectively at all levels and with Military/Defence personnel, and/or a relevant military background.
-Knowledge of financial management
