Our Client manufactures highly complex, high power RF amplifiers, incorporating high voltage switch-mode power supplies, high voltage biasing circuits, modulation and control and monitoring electronics. The Senior Product Development Engineer will be required to provide technical support to the engineering and production teams. This may include the design and development of circuits to overcome obsolescence or reliability issues: Developing and implementing test and validation plans, resolving day to day technical issues, supporting diagnostic work on test failures, resolving test equipment issues and supporting diagnostic test equipment improvements. Conducting root cause analysis and recommending product or process changes.

Main Duties
• To define and implement validation test plans and produce evaluation reports.
• To design and develop solutions to component obsolescence or product reliability issues
• To support the engineering and production teams to resolve technical issues.
• To investigate, resolve and prevent product or test equipment defects or deficiencies.
• To support in depth root cause analysis and report detailed findings.
• To support production with trouble shooting, problem solving and new product introduction.
• To support and liaise with the design engineering team.
• Provide training to test engineers and assemblers as required.
• To maintain an Engineers daybook to allow visibility of activities
• Ensure test processes meet customer and Company requirements.
• To work with customers and suppliers to resolve issues.
• To ensure compliance with Company manufacturing and quality procedures.
• To undertake any other task, which may reasonably be requested?
• To comply with the Company Policy on Health & Safety.

Qualifications:
• HND or BSc

Essentials:
• Knowledge of military or aerospace processes. Great team player with good communication skills
Desirables:
• Knowledge of electronic packaging and thermal design for high powered electronic equipment.
• Familiar with analogue circuits especially switch-mode PSUs as well as high power RF test methods and equipment.

Because of the nature of the work undertaken at my clients\' site, this post is required to meet special nationality rules and therefore are only open to British Citizens. All selected candidates will be required to undergo security clearance. The MoD rules state that in order to have access to this level of information, candidates \"must be British as defined in the British Nationality Act 1981\"
