Test Measuring Equipment Cell (TMEC) Supervisor (068jc) vacancy in Anglesey ()

My client who have the contract to maintain all of the Hawk aircraft at RAF Valley Anglesey are now seeking Test Measuring Equipment Cell (TMEC) Supervisor to join their team.

Job Description
Reporting to the Av/Elec Controller the key accountabilities of the role will be as follows:-
• To maintain records and data base of all TE (Test Equipment) held on unit, and the continuing control and delivery of all TE calibration and replacement calibration failures.
• This will allow the sustained integrity of Hawk IOS aircraft TE whilst reviewing holdings to a minimum to ensure adequate assets are available to support Detachments, recoveries and those items on Calibration.
• Ensuring control of the TMEC staff, stocks and assets are appropriately recorded, regulated and controlled to standards set by the JAP(D) 509.
• The supervisor of TMEC is responsible for overall control of an effective supply service which covers control of test equipment, issue, receipt and despatch, maintaining accurate data base records of all test equipment
• Ensuring all work is carried out in accordance with specified unit calibration procedures and work instructions.
• Ensuring that all personnel within TMEC appropriately briefed, trained, authorised and competent to carry out required tasks any work required is carried over into the hand over diary.
• Ensuring that an Engineering registry is maintained, with a file registration system of all communication and engineering documentation the register is to contain dates, file transfer receipt and despatch entries and a meeting data base diary of all valid Valley meetings ensuring attendance and locations are correct.

Qualifications & Requirements

Applicants must be able to demonstrate the following:-
• Full understanding of the JAP(D) – 509 management of test equipment.
• Appropriate supply trade background or similar training to NVQ3 or equivalent
• Good office inventory skills
• Supply accounting and inventory management
• Quality standards ISO9001-2008 and Environmental standards 14001-2004 OHAS 18000-1999
• Holder of a TMEC post within the authority

Supervisory experience
• Five years in Aerospace industry
• Self motivated and able to work within company guidelines.
• Articulate in Oral and Written Communication
• Positive focus to ensure contracted output is maintained. IT literate
