My client specialises in providing an innovative technology solution for specialist Super-Yachts are now seeking a Security Installation Engineer to join their expanding company.

They are recruiting a Design and Integration Engineer to join their yacht security team. Their technology is based on several tightly integrated components designed to satisfy the unique requirements and challenges of yacht security. The systems comprise high quality CCTV, access control, emergency lock-down and intrusion detection subsystems. These subsystems share common displays and controls, making them easy to understand and operate.

Role Requirements:
• You will be responsible for the design and development of the security system based on a clients requirements
• Integrate the solution with existing technical infrastructure including fire alarms, messaging and communications systems
• Hands-on installation and commissioning of the recommended system in conjunction with the shipyard.
• Maintenance and technical support to meet service level agreements with the client

Experience
• Proven experience of designing and developing technical specifications
• Proven experience of managing projects from concept through to delivery and installation
• Previous experience in the Super-yacht industry is desirable although not essential
• Previous experience of systems integration
• Proven experience of working on RFP’s, RFI’s and SOW’s

Essential Skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, management of others, understanding of budgets and pricing
• Electronic system design and integration
• Sensor Interfacing and Control applications
• Producing technical documentation
• Project Management

Desirable Skills
• Prototype construction of electronic circuits
• Analogue and Digital Design
• Access control systems
• CCTV installations
• Fault finding, testing and calibration of equipment
• Labview, Windows Servers, Linux (desirable) WPF, WCF, SOAP, XML, .Net Framework (3.0 – 4.0)

The ideal individual would be someone from either a weapons or comms background from the Royal Navy who has the ability to implement designs and drawings from concept to final signoff and teaching the clients how to use the systems.

Please note that there will be a lot of travel both in the UK and possibly overseas for this role.
