My client who have the contract to maintain all of the Hawk aircraft at RAF Valley Anglesey are now seeking Airframe/Propulsion Supervisor to join their team

Job Description

My client wishes to appoint an Af/Prop Supervisor. Reporting to the Depth Manager the jobholder will supervise all activities within their specialisation on the Hawk TMk2 (Scheduled Maintenance and Bay Support) and carry out independent checks as required.

Responsibilities
• Supporting the Depth Manager in continuous improvement of all work processes and to ensure as far as is reasonably practicable that the health, safety and welfare at work of all employees is maintained. The successful candidate will ensure that the maintenance programme is completed to the required standards and completed as effectively as possible.
• The successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring all work is carried out to the required standards.
• Ensuring all accountable staff adhere to the relevant policies and procedures and ensure that all paperwork is completed correctly.
• The position requires the individual to have good trade knowledge preferably with fast jet experience at first and second line.
• Maintaining the trade skills and high levels of trade practices and workmanship required to meet contractual requirements in a safe and efficient manner.

Qualifications & Requirements

Experience and Qualifications
• Supervisory experience
• Willing to undertake a Supervisory Management Course.
• Should possess 5 years working knowledge of military fast jet maintenance within both Forward and Depth.
• EFDC qualification is desirable.

Knowledge and Skills
• A good overall trade knowledge and technical competence in order to maintain the skills and high levels of trade practices to meet contractual requirements in a safe and efficient manner.
• Leadership skills and supervisory experience.
• Knowledge of Quality, Safety and Environmental management systems.
• Knowledge of RAF engineering policy documentation and organisation.

Attitude
• Reliable, Organised, Team Leader, Positive, Customer Focused, Trustworthy.
• Willing to migrate to MAOS maintenance principals.

Successful candidates will be required to meet strict MOD security requirements and a medical may be required as part of the usual recruitment process.
