My client who have the contract to maintain all of the Hawk aircraft at RAF Valley Anglesey are now seeking Hawk Airframe/Propulsion Trainer to join their team

Job Description

My client wishes to appoint a Trainer to ensure the effective training in support of the Hawk aircraft, TMK1 and TMK2 at RAF Valley.

You will provide instruction in trade group specialisation, specifically the Airframe/ Propulsion trade, to my client’s employees. The role will involve the planning, design, development and preparation of course syllabus, presentations and training notes.

Responsibilities

You will be expected to maintain instructional standards, exam analysis, student interviews and course debriefs and through liaison with the appropriate company departments, maintains an awareness of current procedures, changing trends and defects that are relevant to your trade specialisation.

They are looking for a highly motivated individual who must have experience of Hawk systems, or other fast jet knowledge. You will be required to blend into the present programme of technical training and be able to display creativity in design and delivery of training.

Essential to your success in this role will be a positive outlook and the ability to identify and drive through improvements in working practices and employee training and development.

The position is both varied and demanding; Generating and maintaining high standards of workmanship and trade skills commensurate with the Quality Assurance requirements of the Company\'s Quality Management System. Above all, you will be essential to the success of my client at RAF Valley.

This position will be based at RAF Valley, although from time to time you may be required to work from any of our other contracts.

Qualifications & Requirements

The ideal candidate will have the following competencies and experience.

Experience
• Minimum of 3 years experience on Hawk aircraft and an in-depth knowledge of Hawk Systems
• Experience in the delivery of technical instruction is desirable
• Experience in training and development of personnel is desirable.
• Technical Certification to a recognised standard
• Instructional Techniques or recognised Training Certificate.
• Good knowledge of specialist subject and secondary subject
• Good oral and written communication and presentation skills.
• Good understanding of the DSAT model
• Extensive knowledge of MAA regulations and documentation

Skills
• Ability to communicate effectively, both written and orally.
• Ability to understand and follow training syllabi.

Attitude
• Student focused, flexible, disciplined Trainer
• Ability to design, develop and maintain training programmes
• Effective planning and management skills
• Good motivator
• Self-motivated and disciplined.

Successful candidates will be required to meet strict MOD security requirements and a medical may be required as part of the usual recruitment process.
