My FSTE 100 client has an immediate vacancy for a highly-experienced Operations Manager at their Glasgow operation.

Job Description
An immediate vacancy has arisen for a highly-experienced Operations Manager at our UK Light Aircraft Flying Task (LAFT2) Glasgow site working flexibly but over any consecutive 5 day period over a 7 day working week. This is a high-profile role managing by my client delivering the LAFT2 contract flying output and support services to meet MOD RAF customer requirements and critical output targets.

Responsibilities
Reporting to the Regional Manager LAFT2 Scotland based at RAF Leuchars you will be accountable for:
• Delivery of the LAFT2 contract Statement of Requirement at Glasgow Airport including: Grob 115E light aircraft provision and maintenance under EASA Pt 145 and EASA Pt M Regulations Flight line operations Air Traffic Services Safety Equipment, Logistics, MT and contract administration.
• Compliance with all applicable military and civilian regulations required to safely and effectively deliver the LAFT2 business at Glasgow Airport.
• The generation and release to service of company aircraft to consistently meet daily customer requirements.
• Standards and practices required under the Company QMS and Company Approvals for EASA Pt 145 Line and Base maintenance and EASA Pt M Continued Airworthiness.
• Provision of resources and support to the wider business.
• Effective management and leadership of direct reports to ensure satisfactory performance through the setting of objectives and annual Performance Development Review.
• Absolute compliance with SHE regulations within a culture of “Home Safe Every Day”.

Qualifications and Experience
• Operational management experience in a Civil/Military Aviation environment
• B1.2 Licensed Aircraft Engineer (training provided to achieve Grob 115E Type Rating)
• SQEP to deliver a LAFT2 contract core competence
• SQEP to manage EASA Pt 145 engineering operations.
• Experience in MOD procedures and documentation in all aspects associated with the areas of responsibility
• Hold a SHE qualification.
• Hold a full UK driving license.

Skills
• Knowledge of civil aircraft operations particularly EASA Pt 145 maintenance operations and EASA Pt M Continued Airworthiness requirements.
• Computer literate, good working knowledge of MS Office and Outlook
• Working knowledge of Rusada computer system – desirable
• Articulate in both written and oral communication
• Excellent Customer Relationship Management (CRM) skills.
• Excellent communication and motivation skills.

Security
The successful candidate will be required to undertake and Pass MoD security clearance.
