We need a Manager to supervise our Technical Surveillance Unit (TSU) Technicians, ensuring effective and safe preparation and deployment of technical surveillance tactics.
Your role will be to undertake the procurement and purchasing of all equipment keeping up to date with technological advances and current research, this includes conducting risk assessments and ensuring compliance of standard operating procedures and policies, supporting the departmental budget within the TSU rules plus overseeing purchasing contracts and maintenance agreements. The role includes the management of the technical team to include all aspects of training, development, welfare, health and safety and tasking.
You must have excellent communication skills, be computer literate and have technical surveillance experience including an in depth knowledge of video and audio surveillance devices plus a working knowledge of health and safety legislation in the work place including waste disposal legislation and practical experience or knowledge of all aspects of covert policing tactics. You will also have experience of supervising staff and managing a budget, problem solving and completing risk assessments. Ideally you will hold a BTEC (or equivalent) in Electronic Engineering.
