Field IT Engineer (273jc) vacancy in Park Royal, London ()

This Client is a fast-growing SME in the radio communications sector. With offices across the UK and Heathrow Airport, its principal areas of business are systems design and installation, sales of equipment, equipment hire, repairs and maintenance and aerial and airtime rental.

They are now looking for a Field IT Engineer who will be reporting to the Engineering Manager and you will be providing IT support in the field.

Therefore your main responsibilities will include:-
• Installation of IT Applications and Systems in the field.
• Installation of radio products in the field.
• Provide Technical assurance to customers in the field both on radio and IT infrastructure.
• Cover Pager duties in support of customer Maintenance contracts.
• Maintain Airside eligibility to support LHR, STD and SOU airports in support of the SITA maintenance contract.
• Assist with the preparation tender documents when needed.
• Preparation of engineering reports as required.

To be eligible for this role, you will need the following qualifications skills and experience
Qualifications
• Good standard of education.
• Good literacy and numeric skills.
• Most IT qualifications considered.
• CRB.
• Disclosure Scotland.
• CISCO accreditations.
• MOD security clearance.

Experience
• RF propagation experience.
• Strong IT experience specifically:
1. Database management.
2. Networking topologies.
3. TCP/IP.
4. Motorola software applications.
5. Wireless.
• Experience in fault finding across a multitude of telecommunication platforms.
• At least 10 years within Telecoms.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Telecommunications exposure to technologies outside of the company core business, i.e. WIFI, database management, SATCOM, Fibre Optics etc.
• Exposure to PMR products.
• SAGE X3.
• Path profile applications.
• Axell Wirless product knowledge.
