We have an exciting opportunity for a Business Development Manager in Scotland.

SkillForce is a charity that works in partnership with schools, drawing upon the skills of predominately but not exclusively ex-forces personnel, to inspire young people to succeed at school and in life. In partnership with schools we deliver a character and resilience education to young people aged 6-14 years that provides them with knowledge, skills and experience and most importantly the self-belief that they can achieve.

The role of Business Development Manager reports to the Director of Operations and Compliance.

The purpose of the role is to take a lead outward facing role to raise the profile of SkillForce in Scotland and attract additional business opportunities.

To do this, you will;

Identify and develop key relationships with external stakeholders
Develop a business development plan for Scotland in line with growth targets and budget
Work with Area Managers to manage a pipeline of sales activity
Implement local networking strategies
Develop a strategy for customer service and retention
The ideal candidate will;

Have experience in a business development, fundraising and/or sales role with a track record of achieving financial targets (personal target of >£150k for this role)
Have a strong understanding of the corporate landscape in Scotland
Entrepreneurial, innovation and enterprise skills
Excellent ability to develop, cultivate and maintain strong relationships.
