My client is a UK based importer and distributor of specialist sights, tactical and rescue equipment for the law enforcement and sporting sectors.

You will be reporting to the Company Director and you will be responsible for sales of company’s commercial product portfolio to law enforcement and sporting dealers.

Therefore the main purpose f of the role will be to sell the company’s commercial product portfolio, including optical sights, electro optics and a range of tactical equipment for police forces and shooting sports equipment to a dealer network.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Field based sales law enforcement and other government accounts
1. Selling the portfolio of law enforcement to UK police forces, Border Agency, Forest Commission.
2. Optical sights, electro-optics, tactical equipment.
• Field based sales to dealer network.
1. Selling the portfolio of sporting products to the national dealer network.
2. Optical sights, electro-optics, shooting sports accessories.
• Office Based Sales Duties
1. Responding to customer enquiries.
2. Preparation of quotations
3. Telesales and promotion
4. Support to marketing effort
• Promotional Duties
1. Attend exhibitions – between 2 – 6 per year requires some weekend work
• Administrative Duties
1. Reporting of sales figures against KPI’s.
2. Assist with stock forecasting
3. Input to new product research
4. Expense and time reporting.
• To undertake any other appropriate tasks which may reasonably be requested by the Director

To be eligible for this role you will need the following qualifications and experience
• Pref educated to degree level, in engineering or science.
• HM Forces background, knowledge of Field sports / country pursuits / optical equipment would be an advantage.
• Recognised sales training courses.
• At least 3 years sales / BD experience preferable in government sales, technical sales or outdoor pursuits.
• Experience of working to ISO 9001 standards
• IT literate. MS Office suite and recognised CRM.
• Full clean driving licence.

In return they are offering an excellent base salary with bonus. Company car (as you will be expected to be on the road 2-3 day per week), phone, state pension.
