Commissioning Engineer vacancy in Wimborne, Dorset + 70% Travel (145jc)

My client is a leading edge company equipment manufacturing company for the pharmaceutical and bio research sector, where they develop a number of high spec technologies.

As a result of recent success, my client is growing quickly and is looking for an enthusiastic, energetic and highly talented Commissioning Engineer to expand the Production team, and for this role you will need a strong background in mechanical, electrical and software, experience in the life science context would be highly advantageous.

To be considered for this role you will need the following key skills and experience:
• Good analytical and fault finding skills - ability to identify if the source of the problem is likely to be hardware or software in nature.
• Must have a methodical approach to troubleshooting and problem-solving.
• Ability to test individual hardware and software components to provide better fault reporting.
• Ability to configure TCP/IP based networks.
• Good understanding of USB and RS485 networks (configuration and diagnostics).
• Microsoft Windows 7 and Windows 10 Administration (software and drivers installation and fault finding, user and privileges configuration).
• Ability to read and analyse results/logs to find clues for the source of the issue under investigation.
• Knowledge and experience of basic electronics, soldering, use of related hand tools, calibration and test equipment.
• IT Skills - add remove software/drivers, troubleshoot IT faults.

Other Requirements:
• Must be physically fit and able to lift 20Kg.
