This client, is one of the UK’s leading Commercial Property and Asset Management Company are now seeking a Facilities Manager for one of its flagship sites in Kent.

You will be reporting to the Senior Site Director, and be part of a small management team and your role will be to facilitate the maintenance, services and improvement of the KSP estate, buildings, plant and infrastructure within budget and legislative compliance.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Organising and keeping on top of M&E and project works
• Authorising expenditure for maintenance works
• Ensure all tenants are compliant with site HS and other policy
• Assisting with setting site budgets and manage budget
• Produce weekly reports for site director
• Lead contractor meetings
• Chair H&S meetings with contractors and tenants
• Monitor fire risk assessments
• Ensure Riskwise (bespoke IT system) is fully up to date and compliant
• Carry out regular site inspections and complete inspection report
• Organise annual fire risk assessments, PAT testing and water checking
• Liaise with project managers (where appointed) and tenants for site projects
• Evaluate and monitor performance of all contractors
• Input into tender documents
• Update tenants on site works being conducted
• Assume responsibility for all Health and Safety on site
• Ensure H&S tasks are completed within a suitable timeframe
• Liaising with tenants on project works
• Managing small projects

• Maintain good working knowledge of the site and occupiers
• Build strong relationships with occupiers, contractors and colleagues

Experience and Qualifications
• Experience of managing a large commercial site
• Experience on complex and interdependent heat and power plants
• Project management
• Knowledge of working with chemicals
• IOSH/NEBOSH

The ideal candidate would probably be a SNCO/WO who has gained some commercial experience within the civilian sector, or who has significant experience of this sort of role within the military. The post holder will in effect become the 2 I/C of the site and although you will have no direct reports, but will be happy of working within a small and tight knit team.
