AIM AND PURPOSE OF THE JOB
The purpose of the role is to provide services to employers which meet the needs of their business by; facilitating access to funded and unfunded learning and skills development, for them and their employees .Managing individual’s learning and skills programmes to ensure timely and successful completion and arranging registration, assessment in the workplace and internal verification for accredited learning.

KEY ROLES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

• To arrange appointments and attend employer’s premises to:
 provide information, advice and guidance services
 conduct interviews and initial assessments
 carryout start and induction processes including health and safety checks
 negotiate appropriate Individual Learning Plans (ILPs)
 conduct progress reviews

• To carryout timely, accurate and audit compliant completion of all administration processes
• To arrange as appropriate, for the provision of learning and skills development and testing away from the workplace
• To ensure that, where provision of external accreditation has been agreed appropriate registration with awarding bodies has been completed
• To arrange vocational assessment in the workplace and internal verification for accredited learning
• To maintain high standards of customer service through effective communication and timely response
• To maintain an up to date operational knowledge of applicable eligibility criteria, funding rules, audit requirements and other conditions pertaining to current learning and skills programmes
• To carry out marketing and promotional activities to support employer engagement and participate in publicity and careers events.

• Act as course leader as required, including leading on the production of course evaluation and self-assessment reports.

• Maintain such student registration course records as required.

• To support contract reviews and audits
• To identify and propose development actions to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of provision
• To implement evaluation systems to capture feedback from employers and employees

GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

• To commit to the safeguarding and promotion of the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults

• To participate in the College’s Performance Management Scheme and attend such training events as are necessary to enable him/her to carry out the duties of the job description.

• To continually improve teaching, learning and assessment through proactive CPD and sharing best practice.

• To actively participate in the College’s Quality System, including quality improvement strategies and initiatives.

• To undertake such other duties as may be assigned commensurate with the grade and purpose of the post.

• To take reasonable care for the health and safety of him/her and for others affected by his/her work.

• To actively support College Safeguarding, Equality and Diversity policies.

Attainments:
• Level 3 qualification in Brickwork (E)
• Teaching experience and qualification (D)
• An Assessor or Verifier award (D)

General Skills:
• Relevant industrial experience (E)
• Sound communication, administrative and IT skills (E)
• IAG experience (D)
• Knowledge of the local labour market (D)
• Initial and vocational assessment experience (D)
