My client a specialist manufacturing and supply company, who supply high end conservatories/Home Offices are now seeking an Ops Manager to join their expanding company.

You will be reporting to the Managing Director, and your role will be to co-ordinate all aspects of their operations for the company, with accountability for quality, cost and delivery among others.

Therefore your responsibilities will include:

• Manage and co-ordinate a team of skilled installers, and at the same time liaise with other departments within the company to help achieve company goals.
• Making sure that sufficient of equipment, tools and ancillaries are supplied to make sure that the projects are completed on time, to budget and to company’s high standards.
• Making sure that all personnel are fully compliant to HSE and that they are properly trained and supervised at all times.
• Having the ability to comply with the technical and legislative standards which are associated with your responsibility and making sure everyone is compliant.
• Set up and implement SOP’s and KPI’s to measure company progress to ensure year on year improvements are achieved.
• Monitor and maintain planning schedule so that projects are delivered on time and able to meet clients set timetables, etc.
• On an ongoing process, monitor and control all cost and performance to keep within company budgets and implement cost reduction measures to increase bottom line reporting.
• Day to day management of a fleet of vehicles and equipment, making sure that they are kept at the highest operating level at all times.

To be eligible for this role you will need the following skills and experience:

• Previous experience of team development and management, with emphasise of further development and change management.
• Strong verbal and communication skills, as you will be dealing with clients, other departmental managers and 3rd parties.
• Proven ability to deliver projects on time and to budgets, as well as showing full accountability at the same time.
• You will also need to have a site supervisors training course or similar
• Full Driving licence, plant certification is also needed as well as experience in driving off road and towing.
• Hands on carpentry and landscaping would also be a plus, with a qualification to operate a chainsaw will also be desirable.

This role would possible suit ex RE JNCO/SNCO who is seeking to join and expanding and developing company in the construction sector who is seeking a long term role with processions and ongoing development.

In return they are offering an excellent starting salary, with a company discretionary bonus scheme, and a contributory pension and cycle to work scheme. There will also be the requirement to spend some time away.
