You will be reporting to the WE Manager and your role will be to act as WE Instructor to RSNF students within HMS Collingwood. Your responsibilities will include:
Main Tasks:
• Design, develop, prepare and instruct WE trade and Naval Specialist Training (NST) specific training modules for Replacement Crew, Technician training and RSNF related projects.
• Prepare ISPECs and lesson plans on WE related SRMH equipment’s and instruct where required.
• To design and develop, student hand-out notes to accompany the Training syllabus where required.
• Prepare and conduct RSNF new joiner’s briefs for each batch of new student arrivals into HMS Collingwood.
• Accompany students on their HMS Collingwood’s induction and cultural acclimatisation week, providing administrative support and direction where required.
• Support RSNF students with their ELT enrichment training programme and provide mentoring support to the students as required.
• Support the RSNF ELT enrichment training programme with student personal administrative issues, ensuring they are dealt with promptly and that correct administrative procedures are adhered to.
• Develop a good understanding of the whole ship components of the Al Jawf Class SRMH.
• Work closely with the WE Course Manager to support the planning, mapping and co-ordination of RSNF NST and WE Training Modules for Technician and Replacement Crew within HMS Collingwood.
• Support students on UK and foreign manufacturer’s courses in support of training as and when required.
• Under the Hunter ELT programme support Language examinations at local test centre which could involve weekend attendance.
Sea Health & Safety Responsibilities:
• To make risk assessments for area/departments for training delivery in addition to ensuring preventative and protective control measures are implemented and recorded.
• To ensure robust Induction Procedures for contractors/staff are delivered effectively in support of the Hunter Project.
• To ensure any recommendations are reported in a timely fashion.
• To ensure a consistent approach is adopted to safety policy, processes, procedures and initiatives.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Technical Experience and Qualifications:
• MS Office literate to include Word, Excel and PowerPoint - Essential
• Experienced in instructional techniques - Essential
• Experienced in Foreign navies training - Desirable
• Technical appreciation of naval training and the naval training environment - Essential
• Experience in SRMH WE equipment and procedures - Essential
• Working knowledge of Foreign customers and cultures - Desirable
