My client is a family owned company that was established in 1982 selling generators and has expanded their services into Standby Power, UPS and combined heat and power systems.

They are now looking for Generator Service Engineer to join their team to cover the Southern England, but are willing to speak to any one with the right skills and background.

This role will be based in the operations department and you will be reporting to the Service Operations Manager on a day to day basis.

You will be travelling all-round the UK, but primarily in your own assigned area, using your engineering and computer skills to carry out routine servicing work on a range of generators in the range of 10Kva – 2Mva size range. This will be a mixture of scheduled service work and reactive work where you would be the first-responder to a breakdown on site. A callout rota is also in operation, which involves you being on call.

They are a thriving business, with 30 years in the standby power and energy efficiency markets. They have a strong family management structure, and high standards of performance and ethics and trade from multiple locations around the UK, and you would be part of a team of circa 50 staff.

• Comfortable working in a hard driving well motivated team, of very focused people, with robust working relationships

Experience and Qualifications
• Minimum of 3 years relevant experience as a generator service engineer, or similar role
• Strong practical electrical engineering knowledge of LV power generation and distribution systems
• Practical knowledge of high level software based control systems such as Comap / Deep Sea etc
• IT skills, fluent with Outlook, Excel, & Word. Practical experience of using laptop based bespoke engine system analysis and control programmes such as Comap PC Suite / DSE Configuration Suite etc
• Gas Safe qualification
• Mechanical or Electrical Engineering qualification
• IEE 17th Edition Qualified
• CSCS card
• Already own basic electrical & mechanical tool kit
