My client, who is a major telecoms provider, is now seeking a Project Manager – Capability 1 for their operations in Saudi Arabia, you will be reporting to the Programme Manager

Primary Objectives & Functions:
• The Project Manager Capability 1 will be responsible for the management, control and monitoring of elements of the Project, throughout all stages of the project lifecycle from design through to implementation, customer acceptance and technical transfer into operational use.
• The key responsibility will be to ensure the integration of specialist communications equipment into a designated vehicle. The successful candidate will have a strong Integration & delivery experience and be regarded as a SME. You will be the "go to" person for the current status of all Project activities and will provide a hands on approach to ensure all stakeholder integration and delivery issues are resolved.
• Drive the development of the vehicle integration and delivery and to achieve sign off tests to meet key project milestone deliverables through a highly proactive approach resolving cross functional technical conflicts and engineering issues.
• This role resides within a dedicated IPT and reports to the IPT Programme Manager. The PM will also need to deal with, on a day-to-day basis, members of the UK MoD team located in Riyadh and SANG military officials at all levels.

Terms and Conditions.
• An initial contract of 3 years will be offered.

Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:
The Special Systems team is the primary interface to the customer (UK MOD and SANG) for all Special Systems project activities and is responsible for creating and delivering through-life, value for money solutions at minimal risk to the Company.

Primary Responsibilities:
• To deliver the project in line with the customer’s key success criteria, namely delivery to specified performance, time, cost and quality, which entails:
• A full understand of customer requirements with the aim of meeting or exceeding major milestones.
• To manage the customer expectations by reflecting them in a clear specification baseline, reporting accurately and capturing any variations through the project change control procedures.
• Develop an excellent working relationship with the customer through trust.
• Anticipate and be proactive to control all relevant project activities and finances.
• Ensure risks are defined, acted on, maintained and reported against.
• Act decisively and communicate effectively.
• Successfully apply lifecycle management.

Secondary Responsibilities:
• Similar responsibilities as stated above for other Company projects

Contact with Others (Internal/External/Meetings):
The post-holder will be expected to manage, on a daily basis, effective Informal Meetings, Formal Meetings, Correspondence and Reports with respect to Integration and relationships with a wide stakeholder group including:

Internally:
• The Programme Manager will provide direction and support to the PM with regard to the management and control of the project.
• Middle Management, Proposals and Project Teams
• Additionally, through a mix of the dedicated IPT personnel and call-off resources as required further support will be provided.
Externally:
• It is envisaged that the PM will have daily contact with both the Authority and the Sub-Contractors

Judgement/Decision Making Authority (Specific Responsibilities):
Empowered to commit the company within appropriate delegated limits commensurate with the above duties and responsibilities as delegated.

Recruitment Specification (Knowledge & Experience):
Essential:
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Electronics/Communications engineering discipline.
• Previous experience of being involved in a major vehicle integration project with a thorough knowledge of whole vehicle engineering and integration process. including:
a. Conducting design reviews
b. Certification and homologation
c. Managing Vehicle, First of Type Tracking and testing
d. Releasing vehicles post-certification confirmation
e. Project signoffs
• Experience of managing a vehicle integration testing process would be an advantage.
• Experience with dealing with military personnel and military type operational requirements.
• Proven track record as a team player and an effective manager of project teams.
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office suite of tools including ‘Project’.
Desirable:
• Experience of working in the Middle East (preferably Saudi Arabia) desirable.
• Experience in major military integration projects.
• Business experience in the Defence Sector.

As this role is based in Saudi Arabia, candidates must meet all of the minimum qualifications as they are not bound by UK or EU Laws, also only individuals up to the age of 55 will be considered for any of these roles.
