Security Cleared Fire Protection Engineers (342jc) – London - £45 – 70k + Benefits.

We have been asked by a global consulting and engineering firm that focuses on water, environment, sustainable infrastructure, and renewable energy solutions to help them recruit a Security Cleared Fire Protection Engineers to join their expanding team.

The role of Fire Protection Engineer is responsible for the delivery of building services from design through to construction. This role works with moderate autonomy, applying technical knowledge and skills as an individual contributor to teams and projects. May be required to perform the role of Project Leader when required, responsible for the delivery of small and medium sized multi-disciplinary projects. Typically working towards professional registration (i.e., CPEng, RBP, CEng, IEng).

To be eligible for this role you will need the following attributes:

Ideally you will have:
• Minimum 3 years engineering experience across the full project lifecycle and responsibility for delivering projects.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate information of a complex nature both verbally and in writing with all stakeholders across multiple disciplines including colleagues and clients.
• Ability to accept change and ambiguity.
• Ability to exercise well-developed problem-solving skills and use substantial initiative and judgement to work independently to meet objectives.
• Well-developed problem-solving skills.
• Politically astute with team members and clients
• Consistently produce accurate work without errors
• Willingness to accept and implement constructive feedback.

Qualifications & Certifications:
• A relevant tertiary qualification combined with equivalent training, accreditation, and experience.
• Well-developed understanding of relevant British Standards and Building Regulations
• Well-developed understanding of Project Stages and Delivery methods (e.g., full design/design and build).

Training and Development
My client also has a strong focus on the development on their personnel and training will be a key element of this development whether on internal or external training courses. They will develop a career plan for each member that will focus on core elements of your role to provide you with a clear progression in your career path.

The ideal candidate will come from an engineering background, i.e. RN, Royal Engineer or REME, probably be a SNCO/WO or Officer who are or have already gained your professional registration in your sector.

A key element for this role, due to the nature of the contracts, you will need to be able to hold current or the ability to gain security clearance as they are seeking individuals who can gain and hold EDV as well as others who can hold SC clearance.

For those who hold SC clearance you will be based out of their UK HQ which is based in the City of London, and remote working will be possible, but you may need to go to the office maybe 4 – 6 times a month.

For those who hold EDV, you will be working in a secure location in West London and there will be little or no remote working possible due to the nature of the project, however, they are able to offer accommodation for those who cannot easily commute on a daily basis.
