Our client provides products and services to the Aerospace, Defence, Medical and Electronic Manufacturing industries in the UK and Overseas.

Our client is seeking an experienced Service Engineer(s) to join their team to assist their customers with the installation, servicing and maintenance of their equipment and diagnosing problems on site and remotely.

Although our Head Office is based in Prestwick Ayrshire, positions will be based throughout the UK.

Role Summary

• Installation of equipment and machines
• Servicing of equipment and machines
• Repair of equipment and machines
• Statutory testing of equipment and machines
• Provide onsite Operator Training
• Provide telephone based and electronic support to both customers and sales team.
• Administrative work as required.

Role Requirements

• An experienced engineer within the Electronics sector
• Ideally electrically or electro mechanically competent with SMT experience
• Logical problem-solving approach to tasks
• Capable of teaching others and providing instructions in a user-friendly detail

Although our Head Office is based in Prestwick Ayrshire, positions will be based throughout the UK.

Other Information
Benefits :
Holidays - are 30 days per calendar year (this includes bank holidays).
Overtime - we do not typically need to pay overtime as all our service team are contracted to 40 hours per week and very rarely exceed this. If a job arises and a few longer days are required, then this will typically be offset by either a home day or shorter week the following week. In the event of excessive overtime or weekend work at a customers’ request, this will be payable.
Bonus payments – bonuses are discretionary and depend on the Companies results and targets. To put into perspective though, over the last 10 years, bonuses have been paid at least once, sometimes twice every year.
Pension – we have a company pension scheme with Royal London and as per Government legislation every employee is opted in within 3 months of joining. Current rates for contributions are employee 5% and employer 3%.
Nights Out – we do not have anything formal included in our employment package for nights out, but typically do have team nights out throughout the year. One thing I would say is that we certainly have a “work hard, play hard” approach here.

Occasional European travel may also be required.
A company vehicle, laptop and phone will be provided.
