Foundation Technical Instructor (001jc) vacancy in Saudi Arabia ()

My client, who is a major telecoms provider to the military, is now seeking a Foundation Technical Instructor for their operations in Saudi Arabia, you will be reporting to the Technical Training Manager (TTM)

Primary Objectives and Functions
Deliver and support level 1 (Basic) Technical Foundation training to students undergoing technical disciplines.

Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:
• Deliver technical foundation training to military students in electronics principles, communications fundamentals and workshop procedures.
• Be willing to train for and teach, when required, at least one secondary subject: HF Radio, Synchronous Digital Hierarchy (SDH), Digital Microwave Radio System (DMRS), Terminal Equipment PABX (TE), VSAT, Data Cabling, Motorola TETRA Radio, Network Management System (NMS) Cryptographic equipment or Data Networking.
• Produce materials to support training in the form of; Pamphlets, handouts and presentations.
• Produce detailed Lesson Plans for all Communications Fundamentals courses.
• Provide advice to Course Developers as required.
• Provide written reports on a weekly basis for all students, to include; weekly test results, discipline issues, performance and remedial measures.
• Liaise with other departments as directed by the Technical Training Manager (TTM)
• Provide Teaching cover as directed by the TTM.

Contact with Others (Internals/external/Meetings):
• Low level of external contact with customer
• High within Department with TTM and Foundation Materials Developer
• Medium with Training Support & Training Development Department.
• Meetings: As directed by TTM

Judgement/Decision Making Authority (Specific Responsibilities):
• Technical Foundation Course delivery to the students (including lesson planning, methodology and media selection)
• Class management and reporting
• Advising on course development

Recruitment Specification (Knowledge and Experience):
• A minimum requirement of this post is a Telecommunication Diploma with 5 years teaching experience, although a Degree in Electrical Engineering would be preferable.
• Must possess a sound knowledge of instructional methodology and have the skills to exploit new methods and media to encourage learning.
• Experience of working in the Middle East is desirable, as is experience of work within a military environment
• Must be computer literate and show evidence of using multimedia to provide learning solutions.
• Must provide evidence of class management and reporting.
• Must be a self-starter with high levels of personal integrity and be customer focused
• Must be an active team member committed to delivering first class learning solutions to the customer
• Fluency in English is essential.
• Must hold a valid driving license from country of origin.

As this role is based in Saudi Arabia, candidates must meet all of the minimum qualifications as they are not bound by UK or EU Laws, also individuals over the age of 50 will also not be considered for any of these roles.
