Validation Engineer (066as) vacancy in Hampshire based with worldwide travel ()

My client is a world leader in providing high-tech bio-decontamination equipment and services within healthcare, life sciences and military environments. His unique technology has been proven to provide rapid, repeatable, safe and reliable eradication of microbiological pathogens from rooms and other interior spaces. My client’s business is growing rapidly in the UK, Europe, North America and in the Far East. He wishes to maintain this momentum by appointing a Validation Engineer to help cope with this growing workload.

Role Overview
Reporting to the Validation Manager, this customer facing role will concentrate on relatively short term (days / weeks) product commissioning and application development at customers’ sites. The role will involve frequent and substantial prolonged global travel and will be responsible for:

• Commissioning new products following delivery to customer sites;
• Developing customer specific programmes for the customer’s use of the equipment;
• Training the customer operators in the correct and safe use of the equipment;
• Completing validation project testing documentation including preparation and issuing of reports;
• Ensuring successful execution of tasks to fulfil the customer’s order in accordance with company procedures as well as assistance with deployments, site surveys and use of sophisticated scanning survey.

Given the nature of the role, it is not essential that the successful applicant lives within commuting distance of the company headquarters in Hampshire

Essential Skills and Experience
• A minimum of 5 years multi-skilled experience of mechanical / electrical controls or process systems (nb you will be required to upload but not required to programme).
• Excellent communication skills, including the ability to produce documentation.
• A systematic and logical approach to problem solving and ensuring that a high level of customer service is delivered.
• A positive, flexible and results-orientated approach.
• Able to work autonomously and demonstrate good decision-making qualities but be capable of communicating with management as well as sharing workload within a small team and directing work as appropriate.
• Able to manage/maintain own work timescales to maintain schedule of works.
• A close attention to detail to produce work of a high standard is essential.
• A robust personality, able to handle pressurised situations.
• Flexible to accommodate the needs of the business.

Education and Training
Experience/ understanding of commissioning and validation procedures is important although specific experience of bio-decontamination equipment and systems is not essential, as comprehensive training will be given.
