Job description
We are looking for a positive, hardworking candidate who is willing to learn and has a mechanical and electrical background. The company enjoys a reputation for integrity and strong technical capability, the applicant will need to be a team player who can contribute in an open environment. You will be responsible for the installation and repair of products, such as boarding/entry gates, barriers and security readers. The Field Service Engineer is responsible for the delivery of Service Support to appropriate customers and associate companies within the region. The Field Service Engineer reports operationally and functionally to the Technical Support Manager.

Requirements
• Aptitude for M&E machinery, a background in barrier installation would be an advantage
• Have a keen eye for detail
• Fluency in English.
• Must be able to use email, a tablet and a mobile phone
• Have good organisational skills to keep paperwork in order
• Demonstrate a commitment to customer service
• Be a team player and also be comfortable working independently,
• Have initiative and demonstrate a flexible “can-do” approach to work
• Support the account management of contracted customers and organise regular service review meetings.
• Due reporting of trouble-ticket status.
• Due processing of job sheets and any additional paper work as required.

Tasks
As part of your normal duties, you will take part in the installation and repair of products, such as
• Boarding/entry gates, barriers readers, PCs, etc., the Company and third-party components at customer sites.
• When no off-site work is assigned to you, you are required to undertake duties in the office in line with the standard requirement of Key Performance Indicators as determined by the company.
• At all times, you will endeavour to ensure customer satisfaction in accordance with the highest quality standards and the time schedules agreed between the Company and its customers.
• You should have the ability to satisfactorily complete the thorough repair and installation of all appropriate devices – from the various stages of assembly to completing final checks.
• You should carry out final check-ups to guarantee quality control.
• You should give to the customer a diagnosis in respect of the machine based on the problems reported by the customer and following a complete inspection of the device.
• You should service and clean the device whenever possible (interior and exterior)
• For each repair, you should duly complete a Job Sheet (JS)
• You should have the ability to read a technical document (electro-mechanical diagrams), use the various testing and dynamometer measuring tools, multi-meter and oscilloscope.
• You should be capable of resolving problems involving complex breakdowns.
