My client was formed in 2007 by the merger of two leading ICT companies, and with ambitions to grow both internally and with acquiring other business, they are now seeking to become the Cloud services market leader in the UK.

They are now seeking to recruit an additional BDM and the main purpose of your role, as part of the sales team will be to:
• Generation of sales appointments by telephone and other prospecting methods
• Attendance at self-generated and other sales appointments
• Qualification of sales opportunities
• Management of complete sales cycle and necessary resources through to negotiation and close of opportunity
• Accurate and timely forecasting and contact database management
• Internal reporting as required
• This is a new business role, measurement will be based on achievement of a gross margin target of £20,000 per month. Other measures around sales activity will be agreed.

To be eligible for this role you will need the following essential criteria:
• 3 – 5 years Sales experience including some Field New Business work.
• Microsoft Office experience, with an understanding of sales forecasting and CRM, e.g. Salesforce or equivalent.
• No specific experience in storage or server infrastructure sales experience is necessary as complete training will be given. Having said that other relevant experience will be taken into consideration and preference will be given to candidates with such relevant experience.

• Articulate and a clear communicator
• Be a customer advocate
• Enthusiastic and committed
• Good team player
• Good at multitasking

As stated internal training on products and services will be given, however you will be expected to consistently keep abreast of new developments, which would impact on your areas of responsibility.
