My client is one of the largest independent engineering organisations of its kind in the UK, and they operate from multiple sites, and cover M&E, renewable energy and construction sectors, and employ hundreds of people. With an annualised turnover exceeding £22 million, they are now seeking to recruit an Ex-Military Engineer with knowledge of initial inspection, disassembly, rebuilds and final testing of rendering equipment, pressure vessels and power plant ancillary equipment, to join their team at their facility in Northampton.

Your duties for this role will include;
• Liaise between production, Quality and Engineering department’s teams.
• Assess handling of material workflow, following health and safety and risk analysis guidelines.
• Maintain existing production facilities and provide support for site maintenance.
• Recommend manufacturing line improvements to ensure that they meet production standards and customer requirements.
• Review the manufacturing process and cost implications of proposed new products.
• Recommend any necessary changes to manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, effectiveness and product quality.
• Maintain an awareness of developments in the field of production engineering to ensure that the company continues to apply the most effective processes and equipment.
• Follow the Company’s and Group’s internal and external procedures
• Carry out any such other duties that may be reasonably requested of you.

To be eligible for this role you will need the following skills and abilities;


• A proven background in the maintenance and repair of heavy industrial process equipment
• Mechanical pumps
• Electric motors
• Hydraulic and pneumatic systems
• Turbines and mechanical handling systems
• Candidates will have good communication skills and a conscientious attitude to their work, a positive and proactive approach combined with ability
