Generator Engineer vacancy in Cookham, Maidenhead, Berkshire ()

EMF Events Ltd are an event power supplier in Cookham, Berkshire looking to employ a Generator Engineer to manage and maintain a fleet of generators.

We provide temporary power services to live events and supply generators, power distribution and onsite engineers to interesting events mainly in the South East of England.
We have a highly regarded reputation for reliability and service delivery and are looking for a candidate who will help us continue to fulfil this.

Key Duties:
Managing the rental and logistics of the company generator fleet.
Managing the mechanical and electrical maintenance of the generators.
Delivery and collection of generators and equipment to and from site, towed with our fleet of vehicles.
Generator breakdown callouts to site to trouble shoot electro/mechanical issues.
Generator spares stock control.

Experience and Knowledge:

Formal generator/mechanical engineering training/background – Essential
Understanding of various generator control systems – Essential
Understanding of electrical health & safety requirements - Essential
Have parts B&E of their driving license or equivalent (to tow generators) – Essential
Be able to work as part of a team on time critical projects – Essential
City and Guilds 2381 / 2382, 2330, 2391-20 or equivalent qualifications -Desirable
A good understanding of low voltage power generation and distribution - Desirable
A working knowledge of BS7909 – Desirable
Have experience of working in the events industry – Desirable
