You will be reporting to the Senior Management and you will be fully responsible for US$25-40 million construction project with a team of 6 managers and a workforce of between 30 to 70 personnel at any one time.
You will therefore have overall responsibility for the contract actor’s performance under this contract and you will be based in country during this operation.
To be eligible for this role you will need the following experience:
• Minimum 15 years’ experience in construction, delivering projects of comparable nature, size and complexity.
• Demonstrable a track record in having delivered high profile projects in infrastructure.
• Experience in oil and gas projects is very desirable.
• Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams.
• Significant experience of NEC contracts, experience in the NEC4 frameworks will be very useful.
• Considerable project/programme management experience/training
• Excellent influencing and communication skills
• Experience in complex stakeholder management and negotiation
• Experience in contract administration and negotiations Qualifications
• Degree and/or post grad - in engineering, or construction related field is desired.
• Chartered Civil Engineer, Chartered Surveyor, CIOB or equivalent.
They are seeking someone who can start in January 2020, based initially in London, however you may be needed to spend a month in Aberdeen prior to deployment in April to the Falklands.
The ideal candidate would probably suit someone from the RE or similar who has a strong construction background and who has significant experience in delivery of Oil and Gas projects.
In return they are offering an excellent monthly salary, and while based in the Falklands, a 3 month on, 1 month off rotation, with all meals, accommodation, flights insurance etc covered by my client, as well as a possibly retention bonus at the end of the contract should the project be finished on time, and to budget.
