The responsibilities of the role include
1. Delivery and collection of clean and soiled linen
2. Assisting with loading/unloading
3. Regular communication with the Transport Manager
In addition you may be required to take out HGV delivery vehicles delivering clean linen and collecting soiled from customers. This means you will be required to:
1. Unload the company vehicle on your return to the depot at the end of your days' delivery round
2. Collect soiled linen lists and handing them into the service office, as required
3. Record of any delivery times/windows and securing signatures on delivery notes
4. Day-to-day liaison with customers and the office
5. Regularly communicate with the Transport Manager
You will be working an average 48 hour week on a shift rotation of 5 on and 2 off and 6 on, one off with varying start times between 4am and 7am and weekend working, so you will need a flexible and pro-active approach to working. You will be allocated your own vehicle and have the same daily route.
In return, my client offers a salary of £36,000 pa.
Successful candidates will need to be CPC qualified with a digital tacho card and class 2 licence.
