M&E Projects Electrician (038jc) – London and Surrounds - £38 – 45k + Benefits

My client who has a history of over 200 years in the deliver a range of building, engineering and maintenance solutions to some of the regions most iconic landmarks are now seeking to recruit an M&E Projects Electrician.

You will be reporting to the various Contract and Operations Manager and with a focus on Commercial and Residential projects, you will be working in high profile occupied buildings and will be expected to have an excellent working knowledge of different electrical installations.

You will need a working knowledge of electrical systems including Wiring, Containment, fault-finding on existing systems. You will instal new electrical systems, including lighting and small power, to customer standards and to maintain those systems while upholding safety guidelines and complying with codes and regulations.

The ideal candidate will be a client facing electrician with good technical skills, you must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written; be a good team player and able to demonstrate reliability, flexibility, and initiative.

Therefore, your key responsibilities & duties will include:
• Install electrical systems to 18th edition wiring regulations.
• Undertake site surveys, either alone or with the clients to establish their requirements.
• Provide information from surveys to Contracts managers.
• Provide professional assessments to the Contracts managers and clients.
• Possess a working knowledge of lighting control systems such as Dali and Exor.
• Possess working knowledge of IEE regulations, City & Guilds 2360 and 2382 qualifications, and inspection and testing certificate (2391)
• Demonstrate familiarity with NICEIC requirements.
• Have a passion for producing good standards of work to ensure repeat business.

To be eligible for this role you will need the following qualifications, skills, and abilities:
• BS7671, 18th Edition City & Guilds (essential)
• C&G 2391, Testing & Inspection (highly desirable)
• CSCS Card (desirable)
• Experience in electrical installations.
• Current knowledge on Health and Safety issues and ability to work safely.
• Ability to work on their own initiative and within a small team.
• Be proactive.
• Strong interpersonal skills A positive can-do attitude Team Player.
• Ability to plan and prioritise.
• Attention to detail and accuracy as well as able to work under pressure.
• Excellent customer service skills.
