Field Service Engineer (057jc) – Midlands, Home Based - £42 - 47k DOE + Benefits.

They are a wholly owned subsidiary of Danish multinational, one of the world players in truck mounted loader cranes. Their success is based on their reputation for outstanding quality and reliability, backed by first class after sales service.

Their clients operate at the sharp end of the industry and expect high standards. Due to a significant increase in the number of their cranes in the UK market, they now need additional field-based technicians to join their family.

Reporting to the Field Service Supervisor this is a demanding role requiring flexibility, technical competence, and business acumen.

The successful candidate will be a highly motivated individual with experience in a field service role. Previous work with hydraulic systems is essential and experience of cranes is desired. Full training will be given so you can get your ALLMI Thorough Examiner certification, and your salary will increase accordingly.

You must have the ability to work on your own initiative as well as part of a focussed team and possess the communication skills to be able to deal effectively with customers, business partners and colleagues. Full product training will be given, as well as ongoing support and development within the company.

The ideal candidate would be someone who has a strong mechanical and hydraulics background who is seeking to join a company where you can progress your career, as you start as a field engineer, you can quickly progress to Senior Engineer, where your basic salary will increase, and the promotion is not on time served by knowledge and your work ethics.

Your day will generally start at 0730 on client sites and most sites close at 1700hrs, but your hours will start as soon as you leave your front door and end when you get home, so a significant amount of overtime is also achievable, there is also the possibility to work on Saturday’s but only up to Noon. There also may be overnight stays, but the company will pay full expenses.

Therefore for most individuals your starting salary will be £42k, and for senior engineers £47k, but you will need to already hold the ALLMI Certificate.
