Site Maintenance Technician (066jc) - Rhymney – up to £18 per hour + Benefits

My client who are an established Green Recycling company who have recently undergone a significant investment program are now seeking to recruit an additional Site Maintenance Technician for their expanding operation.

You will be reporting to the Site Manager and or Maintenance Manager, and your role assist in ensuring that preventative and emergency maintenance is carried out and documented on site as required. This is to ensure the continuous operation of all plant and equipment and associated record keeping is maintained.

Your role will be as follows:
• Carry out regular preventative maintenance on fixed plant and equipment as required and instructed in accordance with company policy and procedures, which will be explained if necessary.
• Carry out any emergency maintenance required to ensure that when breakdown situations do occur disruption is minimised.
• Assist in departmental maintenance as required and instructed.
• Advise maintenance manager daily of work carried out in order for records to be maintained.
• Ensure general housekeeping of the workshop and other areas of work is maintained.
• Any support as requested within areas of expertise and capability.

You will be measured on the following KPI’s:
• Contribution to achievement of health and safety targets
• Adherence to SWP
• Machine availability

To be eligible for this role you will need the following:
• Experience of shredder granulation machines would be a key advantage.
• Experience gained working in a recycling company processing large volumes of materials would also be advantageous
• Experience working both within a maintenance team and on your own initiative
• Good fault finding will be essential for this role.

The ideal candidate would be someone who has a strong mechanical engineering background who is able to get stuck into the role and who is willing to go the extra mile when needed.

You will be working a 2-shift system, week one, 1530 to 2359hrs and week two 2200 to 0630hrs.
