Radio Field Service Engineer vacancy in Heathrow (100DM)

After successfully placing a candidate from the Royal Signals, our client is looking for another Field Service Engineer, this time to join them at Heathrow.
The ideal candidate would be those coming from a comms background and have also experience with vehicle installations.

Your main duties will include:

 Remedial Maintenance
 Minor Works
 Preventative Maintenance
 Vehicle Installations
 Radio signal strength coverage testing
 Assisting in Project delivery

The technology scope is predominantly Radio based but also split between fibre and cellular based equipment with additional service scope including; Unified Comms, Network, Wireless
and M2M related technologies that; form part of shared platforms or dedicated solutions for customers. This role will work closely with other Operational functions to ensure that multi-technology
solutions are delivered and supported seamlessly for our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

 Work as part of a team covering all incident tickets raised
 Ensure that the overall performance of Service meets: customer service level requirements & service performance targets
 To assist in the delivery of Engineering projects where required and complete in agreed timescales and to industry standards
 Maintaining customer satisfaction as per set targets and objectives
 Ensure all requested project activity is documented as per requirements
 Ensure all service tickets raised on the ticketing system are attended to and completed in a timely manner against their SLA’s
 To deliver projects as requested. This includes the installation of vehicle radios, telemetry devices and all Moves Additions and Changes (MAC) such as delivery and
training of radio equipment
 To complete preventative maintenance visits as requested. This is to include the programming and refurbishment of assets at customer sites to a satisfactory
standard and customer requirement
 To complete vehicle telematics related work as requested. This is to include the installation, decommission and service response to all customers
Engineering projects are required out of hours so there is the need to be flexible in the working hours required to ensure efficient delivery.

Key Qualifications and Experience.

 Good solid technical background with strong practical experience
 Experienced engineer, having Unified Comms and/or Network and I.T. technical and industry knowledge is an advantage
 FITAS qualification or equivalent in Vehicle installations is desirable
 Experience in vehicle installations covering radio / telematics
 Experience in working on DMR radio systems and subsequent end user devices with common main manufacturer equipment – Hytera / TAIT / Simoco / Motorola / Kenwood
 Excellent client facing skills with very strong verbal & written communication
 Clean driving license
 SC Cleared advantageous
 Knowledge of Wi-Fi installation and maintenance advantageous
