I am one of the most experienced Explosive Ordnance Disposal managers available in the world today. Having been the Senior Advanced EOD Instructor at the NATO Defence EOD School, I went on to be the Principal EOD Consultant to the European Commission for Cambodia and Bosnia and wrote the technical standards for demining for Cambodia. I was also one of a small group of people who wrote the Technical Standards for Demining for the UN, which are now the United Nations Mine Action Standards.Learn more about this candidate
I am an energetic and committed individual with over 12 years experience in the Royal Navy and a further 10 years within the commercial diving industry. I'm self-motivated and used to working within strict rules and safety regulations, always following them to the highest standard. I especially understand the importance of adhering to safety guidelines due to the dangerous nature of my current roles, namely diving and bomb disposal, and the fact that lives depend on it. I work well under my own initiative and am able to concentrate for long periods of time, in challenging and hazardous environments, on what may be considered as mundane tasks. I also thrive within a team environment, something that is paramount within the Armed Forces and commercial diving industry. I am happy to play any given role in a team or lead from the front as and when required. After a lengthy career in the Armed Forces I feel that I bring excellent communication skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure, something I relied heavily on during my tour of Iraq in 2007. All of my previous roles have helped me develop excellent risk assessment skills which I am required to utilise on a daily basis within my current industry. Throughout my career I have had to remain up to date and qualified in many disciplines that are constantly evolving. This involves a great deal of continuous professional development, an area which I enjoy.Learn more about this candidate

I have and many of my contacts have done business with J-C and Ex-Mil Recruitment Ltd, every company HR's should use his business module it is excellent.
On retiring from the Army, I was most fortunate to find such an invaluable mentor as JC. His positive approach, professionalism and shrewd insights were essential factors in my successful job application. With his personal military experience combined with a comprehensive knowledge of civilian employment requirements and opportunities, he is especially well-placed to provide guidance, scope individual needs and identify employment possibilities.
I have found the process with you and your company to be nothing short of fantastic and you have simplified it in a way, that makes your company approachable. You are a straight forward man and there is no fluff around anything you say. This is refreshing in it's approach, as most recruitment companies tend to lead you down a garden path.
You are incredibly thorough and punctual, as well as caring about the individual that is applying through your company. I find this empathy, to be nothing short of incredible and it has really helped me to maintain realistic expectations, as well as being able to openly and honestly converse with you in ways that are simply not possible with any other recruitment company.
I hope your company goes from strength to strength and hopefully you become the first port of call for members that have transitioned out of the Military, as I believe there life would be much easier in doing so.

Pleasingly, the individual that we subsequently recruited significantly exceeded our expectation for the role and has effectively "bought us" added capacity for the budgeted price of the role.
