The opportunity for overtime is there due to the flexibility of vehicle deployment.
Overall Role
The candidate will ensure the depot is secure, gates are kept closed and that there are regular patrols. The core competencies for this role are:

Key Performance Indicators
• To undertake a minimum of 4 security patrols per night keeping in radio contact with colleagues
• To ensure vehicles and equipment are checked back in as per check sheets and schematics
• To ensure vehicles are guided into parking spaces avoiding any damage
• To secure vehicles, trailers, equipment, stores and offices as per out-of-hours protocol document
Main duties and responsibilities:
• You have a responsibility to maintain a smart appearance and wear your uniform at all times when on duty.
• Ensure all vehicles and drivers are checked in correctly and company freelance drivers are wearing company uniform (not Nike Adidas etc baseball caps or beanies)
• Manage the behaviour of personal on site, and in and around the sleeping quarters in conjunction with the Night Supervisor, updating the Sleeping Register and Key Register.
• Ensure all depot gates are locked and the depot is secure between movements
• Maintain and update Security Modus and report any issues to line manager
• Ensure all security equipment is charged and in working order at all times
• Maintain and control the depot in conjunction with the depot marshal/operations shift supervisors and ensure vehicles due to depart are accessible
• Work within the requirements of the Operations Desk Manual
• Ensure all vehicle keys and number plates are signed in/out and arrival sheets & schematics are completed in conjunction with Ops Desk supervisor
• Secure vehicles, trailers, equipment, stores and offices as per out-of-hours protocol document
• Make regular check on other night shift staff working in the depot, keeping in regular radio contact with the operations desk.
• All Building and Container keys are signed in/out when required by Depot staff.
• Conduct Random stop and search on Private cars leaving the Depot.
Carry out any other reasonable task, which may arise from time to time and bring to the attention of the Night Operations Manager any matter, which could be detrimental to the wellbeing of the company.
