Class 1 Driver vacancy in Winchester (278se)

Are looking for two class 1 drivers to join their existing logistics team. You will be responsible for delivering compound feed to farms across the Southern/Midlands region of England and into Wales as well as collecting the raw materials used for production at the mill.

Your responsibilities will include:
• Inspecting the vehicle prior to loading and cleaning when necessary.
• Ensuring you have the correct delivery details
• Ensuring that the correct weights are loaded from the correct bins and all partitions are secured
• Each delivery is accurately sampled
• Delivering products to the correct farms and ensure all returning paperwork is completed correctly.
• Reporting any delivery problems such as poor access.
• Complete daily work records, tachograph and vehicle checks
• Collect raw materials when required and comply with intake requirements on site
• Raise any problems including defects during your daily vehicle checks with the Logistics Manager and ensure your vehicle is kept clean and hygienic.
• Clean the vehicle when required and complete relevant paperwork
• Drive in a safe and responsible manner at all times, meeting current tachograph requirements and not exceeding maximum driver hours, gross vehicle weights and legal axle weights.
• Ensure that all records are kept in line with industry and legal requirements.

Qualifications/Experience Required
• HGV Class One Licence
• Experience operating pneumatic discharge vehicles
• Full Driver CPC
• Digi Tachograph
In return my client is offering a salary of £29500 per annum, a drivers mileage bonus, a £25 night allowance and also expenses of up to £30 on production of a receipt for sustenance.
