RST - Security Guard vacancy in Shipbourne- Nr Sevenoaks - Kent (084DM)

This private family estate which is set in an area of outstanding natural beauty is now seeking to recruit an additional RST/Security Guard to join their existing team.

You will be reporting to the Security Supervisor and being part of a team of 6 personnel your role will be to provide and maintain the integrity and security of the Estate.

Therefore, your day-to-day duties will include:
• Standard security duties, including patrolling the Estate.
• Controlling access to the Estate, Properties, and grounds
• Control and Patrol duties will be rotated during each shift.
• Maintaining the Security Log, detailing all events taking place during each shift such as incidents or visitors
• Responding promptly and appropriately to any security issues that arise, reporting all unusual circumstances and situations, as necessary.
• Opening and locking up of all property within the Estate.
• Taking part in fire drills; having a general awareness of fire safety and other health and safety knowledge
• Key distribution and security
• Answering the phone outside office hours

Your rota pattern will be:
• Shifts are 12 hours: 7am - 7pm and 7pm – 7am
• Pattern is 3 days on, 3 nights on, 3 rest days.
• Pattern includes weekends and public holidays.
• Average weekly working hours equate to 56 hours per week.

In return, they are offering:
• Salary of £36,400
• Discretionary bonus paid in December (usually equivalent to around 2 weeks’ pay)

• First Aid training will be provided, as will SIA renewals.

To be eligible for this role, you will need the following skills and experience:
• Previous security experience essential
• SIA qualified with knowledge of CCTV and alarm systems.
• Applicants should be extremely reliable with an impeccable attendance record.
• Must be self- motivated and able to use own initiative and work without supervision.

The ideal candidate would be someone who is looking for a solid RST role and a predictable work pattern, and who is comfortable with a very small team as this is a low-profile post with very little interaction with the principle and family.
